Sculpting Nature: A Landscape Experience

Set on 17,868 m² of contoured land, this chocolate education center offers guests a rich, immersive experience deeply connected to nature. The landscape design embraces the site’s natural systems—most notably through the creation of a natural clay-lined pond, avoiding artificial materials to honor ecological principles. Though it takes time to mature, the pond becomes a living element within the site. Edible gardens enrich the restaurant area, offering hands-on learning about spices used in the kitchen. The design also integrates a locally inspired chocolate nursery, drawing from the traditional architecture of Tenganan village, where clay soil is used as a key material—further rooting the project in its Balinese cultural context.
